2009 Goal Closed – I am generally happy with the result
I would like to do 15 chin ups and lose about 10 pounds by Christmas (2009).
In order to do 15 chin ups & lose 10 pounds, a lot of things must change. That "a lot of changes" are what I am after. I am going to change how I look at life (again).
Currently I am 5’7", 165lb. I have a small frame. Some may say "Not bad" some may say "You need to lose 15 pounds".
I was naturally fit during my younger years. I did 20 chin ups in my younger days. I bench pressed 225lb about 10 years ago. That was 75lb over my own boy weight (not bad). I was once approached by a gym to teach aerobics classes.
I know how to control body weight & shape. At least, I know the science of it.
But that was 10+ years ago.
Since then, I have NOT been working out for 9 years. My cardio is pretty bad. My stomach is BIG. I wear 32 inch waste pants, but I have a huge stomach resting over the belt.
I would like to get in shape. I don’t want to look sexy. I just don’t want to look disgusting. I want to avoid weight related illnesses.

I came up with a rule – I shall exercise (intense workout) 15-20 minutes before dinner. The rule is simple; No workout = No dinner.
I am not going to go crazy. I will live a normal life. I will only workout 3-5 times a week (about 1 hour a week). I will watch my diet. If I skip workout, I will not feel bad about it. The point is to always think positive and try to get better .
** Losing weight is not easy. This is going to be tough.
** Update: April 2010 – I am still doing good.
