I received my Citi credit card reward certificate via email. I received it via email because I signed up for paperless statements. Some of you may receive the certificates in paper form via USPS mail.

They distribute Citi reward certificates after your February statements are closed. You should receive yours by March.

I also found the certificate on the Citi Credit Card mobile APP.

My reward certificate amount for this year is considerably less than usual because:

  1. I spent less money last year – I gave away over $10,000.00 last year because of the pandemic. People around me were running out of money.
  2. I’ve been using Fidelity Reward Visa Card along with Costco Citi Visa. If you have Fidelity for your retirement, check out their reward credit card. It’s pretty good.

Redeeming is easy! Simply print or present this email at any U.S. Costco warehouse, including Puerto Rico, on or before December 31, 2021, to redeem your certificate for merchandise or cash. You can also present your certificate via the Citi Mobile® App.

Redemption Terms and Conditions

  • For full details see the Costco Cash Rewards Program Terms.
  • Annual credit card reward certificate is redeemable through December of the year issued in a single transaction at any U.S. Costco warehouse, including Puerto Rico, for merchandise or cash.
  • Request for cash may be fulfilled in an alternative form (e.g a check or electronic transfer), at Costco’s discretion.
  • Only the primary cardmember is eligible to receive the annual credit card reward certificate; however, you or anyone you authorize may redeem the certificate as long as you or the authorized individual has a valid Costco membership.
  • Should you choose to redeem only a portion of the credit card reward certificate for merchandise, you will receive the remaining balance in cash or alternative form (e.g. check or electronic transfer), at Costco’s discretion.
  • You must have a valid Costco membership at the time of redemption.

Costco’s executive members receive a 2% reward certificate about 3 months before we renew our membership. I didn’t receive my reward gift Certificate this year. There was a possibility that I received the certificate, but I threw it out carelessly. On my last Costco shopping, I talked to customer service. They confirmed they mailed the certificate out over a month ago. So, I requested another one. The process was quick and painless.

I finally received my certificate in the amount of $56.88. I need to get paid $60 in order for my executive membership to pay for itself. $56.88 is pretty close, but I am not enjoying any perks for being an executive member.

In the past, executive members were allowed into the warehouse one hour before the regular business hours. I could enjoy that perk – now that we are dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

I think I should downgrade my membership. I will shop even less this year because of the pandemic of 2020.

I received my Costco (Anywhere Visa® Card) Citi rewards certificate. This certificate is not to be confused with Costco executive membership 2% reward certificate. They sent me the certificate via email and I redeemed it at Costco customer service by showing the email barcode on my iPhone.

They distribute reward certificates after your February statements are closed. You should receive yours by March.

Please note: If you are a Costco Executive Member, you will also receive an Executive Membership 2% Reward certificate. They distributed executive membership rewards via the mail two months prior to your annual renewal month.

I just received a Costco City Visa reward certificate amount of $358.14 in the email. I recently switched my monthly statements to paperless. This is the first time receiving an email certificate.

I guess they will send paper copies of the certificates to those who receive paper statements.

Again – You may receive your certificate on your own schedule. I receive them, usually in February.

PLEASE NOTE: You will receive your check according to your membership schedule. I happen to receive mine in January.

Costco gives 2% rebate checks to Costco executive members.

Costco’s regular membership fee is $60.00/yr. Executive membership is $120.00/yr. In order for my executive membership to pay for itself, I need to receive a $60.00 rebate check. This year I received $91.31. So, my executive membership paid for itself and they rewarded me $41.31 on top of it. It paid to be an executive member at Costco this year. Last year was a different story. Last year, my reward check didn’t quite cover my executive membership. It was short by $1.42.

Keep in mind, what I received is a reward check from Costco. If you have a Citi Visa card, you will also receive a Citi Visa reward check. I receive these in February, but you may be on a different schedule.

I received this year’s Citi Visa Costco reward rebate check amount of $340.54. This check doesn’t make me happy. To me, this is a reality check. I spent 60% more money compared to the year before. 60% is a huge jump on credit card spending. I need to be careful with money. Seriously…
