Costco Shopping – March 8, 2013
Thank you for visiting.
John

I went to Costco with a coworker.

he doesn’t have a Costco membership. He is a super-smart computer programmer from Ukraine. He earned his master’s degree in his early 20’s. He’s currently working in the dot-come industry.

He loved Costco. He kept saying “Exciting stuff”, “Exciting stuff…” I think he will get a membership soon. He picked up a pair of windshield wipers. The rest of the items are mine.

Kirkland Signature’s Lake Country Cheese is pretty good.

I bought Charmin bathroom tissues. I didn’t buy the Costco brand.

I stocked up on Spam. I love Spam. They will last 1-2 years.

I bought 2 more T-shirts. I try not to wear cheap undershirts to work. It was OK to wear undershirts to my old job. But not anymore.

Q-Tips will last 5-6 years.

The tire inflator (air compressor) was $39.99. It’s been a hassle going to gas stations to inflate tires. I often drive with soft tires for months until I find time to go to the gas station for air.

What you don’t see in the below picture is a lobster tail.

I bought a Calvin Klein V-Neck Tee Shirt and a pack of Costco Shopping bags.

The T-shirt was only $12.99. These shirts are very nice if you are a fit person. It’s a slim fit cut.

Costco Shopping – January 18, 2013
Thank you for visiting.
John

A female friend of mine wanted to experience my shopping routine. So, I took her shopping to Costco, Wal*Mart, ROSS, Target, and Del Taco (my usual routine). We ate Costco Hot Dogs. We were done shopping around 10:30 pm.

I used my executive member 2% rebate check and received $66.83 cashback.

###

If I had the money, I would replace all my T-shirts, about 30 of them, with these Kirkland Signature’s Pima Cotton T-Shirts.

I look exactly the same every day at work. Simply put, I don’t care how I look at work. I wear 1 size larger pair of pants to work (for comfort). I wear Costco’s black T-shirt every day. My black T-shirts have better quality than most cheap T-shirts people wear. But, in fact, my shirts are undershirts.

###

I always keep 10-20 cans of Healthy Choice Chicken Soups. I use them to fight cold (flu). I believe in the power of chicken soup. I believe chicken soup works better than any cold medication. I ate several cans of these soups last week to fight the flu. And I needed a refill. There were $3 instant savings on them.

* When I’m at work, I wear 31-inch waist pants. When I go out for Costco shopping, I change into a pair of 30-inch waist pants. My female friend made a comment that I am wearing tight pants to Costco.

Update 2021 – I never wear a t-shirt to work. I only wear an imported dress shirt, often with cuff-links. I don’t keep chicken soup at home, but I make chicken stock in the freezer. When I catch a cold, I buy make chicken soup from scratch.

Costco Executive Membership Reward
Thank you for visiting.
John

I received my annual Costco 2% executive membership reward check, amount of $96.36. Costco’s executive membership is $110/yr. So, I pay $55/yr more than a regular membership.

With a $96.36 check, my executive membership pays for itself and it pays $46.36 extra. That’s not all. I have Costco/American Express membership. I will receive about $160.00 cashback from AmericanExpress as well.

And I live alone, AND I don’t shop a lot. If you have a big family, then your check must be huge.

This means I spent at least $4818.00 in Costco last year. That seems a lot.
