My blog is 16 years old, and I never blog for money. If somebody sends me an air fryer, I will say “Thank you” and cook with it. I try to stay neutral when I review. But… did you watch the video? Did it look like I had fun with this air fryer? Doesn’t that make your mouth water?

Gourmia air fryer has a new model. This one has a window and a light, so you can look inside without opening the container. To me, that’s a significant update. The temperature goes up to 450F. The unit is smaller than the older model, but the capacity is 1 Quart bigger than before. With that, the price hasn’t changed – at $49.99. Sometimes this goes on sale for $39.99 (October 2024)

    Gourmia FoodStation (GGA2180) is available at Costco and everywhere else.

    The FoodStation is a Smokeless grill, griddle, and air fryer – that you can also bake, roast, and dehydrate. What intrigued me the most was the Smoke Extractor. It’s supposed to extract smoke. So, I can cook indoors and there will be no smoke. So, I grilled some meat on the kitchen table, multiple times. I think the Smoke Extractor works, or I will not cook on the kitchen table multiple times. The first 40 seconds of the video should be definitive. The first 40 seconds may be all you need to watch.

    Everything else about FoodStation is predictable (in a good way). With its unique design, I can cook all kinds of food. If your living situation doesn’t allow a full-size kitchen, FoodStation is a must. Perhaps there are other products like this available. But Costco only sells Gourmia products so… here it is. 🙂

    Small electronic kitchen appliances are tricky to review because some people are mechanically challenged. Some people are naturally bad at cooking. For those reasons, I hesitate to say things like “It’s easy to use.” or “Cook. until it’s done.” I stood neutral and cooked some food, using FoodStation. I recorded my experience for you to see.

    Air fry, bake, & dehydrate

    I spent 2 weeks with a Gourmia Air Fryer, GAF798 (Costco item #5232432). I focused on frying fish and chips. But it does more than frying. It can bake and dehydrate as well. 2 weeks was not enough time to learn about a new kitchen appliance. I shall spend more time with it. So far, this opened a door to a new world. I didn’t know there were so many frozen fish, fries, and such… that I can fry on my own.

    I will definitely use this air fryer often for onion rings, fish, and fries. My only problem is that I need to reframe myself from using it too often.

    Gourmia’s air fryers are available at Costco. They are currently on sale for $39.95 in-store until April 10, 2022. The online price is $49.99 (shipping & handling included), also through April 10. Costco’s regular price is still the best you can find.
