Costco Shopping – March 09, 2018

12th Costco shopping in 2018 – $98.02 (today) / $522.38 (this year)

I bought 2 pairs of Calvin Klein Twill Pants. They are made out of thin stretchy cotton. They are a slim straight fit and comfortable. Most of all, they look pretty good out of the dryer without ironing. So, they pass as realistic, everyday pants for normal people. I like these pants.

Costco Shopping – March 02, 2018

12th Costco shopping in 2018 – $29.47 (today) / $453.83 (this year)

I bought a pair of really nice Calvin Klein pants (Costco Item #1147567). They were made with unique material and were shockingly beautiful. They looked even more beautiful when they were on me. The pants were stretchy and super comfortable. I immediately ran them through the washer and dryer. I was curious… (fingers crossed)

Soon, I discovered that these pants have to be ironed. There is no way around it. If I want to enjoy these beautiful pants every day, I’ll have to iron 5-7 of these pants every week. I iron a few shirts every Sunday morning for fun. Adding several pairs of pants means I will spend one hour every Sunday morning ironing. So, Sunday morning will no longer be my fun magic moment, but it will become a grind.

Currently, I wear black or gray jeans to work. I never iron my jeans. Unless you are Martha Stewart, it’s better to have less to iron. I will not buy any more of these pants. I will keep this pair for special events.

Makin’ bacon

Yesterday, I had a quick chat about frying bacon with my friend,

Above is my friend’s plate.

Below is my plate, I cook pancakes with butter, so I don’t need additional butter when I eat. I fried eggs in bacon fat. I warm up my syrup.

I think my bacon looked better because they are Costco bacon. I bet her bacon was a cheaper quality brand. Actually, everything on my plate was from Costco (bacon, eggs, syrup, pancake mix, butter… even the pan I cooked with).

That beautiful plate was $1 at a garage sale. It’s from England. I like pretty plates. So does my friend.

Costco Shopping – February 25, 2018

11th Costco shopping in 2018 – $68.59 (today) / $424.36 (this year)

It was a glorious Sunday morning Costco shopping. I did car wash first. I bought my normal green stuff, lunch salads, strawberries, and a bag of coffee. For my annual St. Patrick’s Day dinner, I bought a bag of Bill Bailey’s® Irish Brand Corned Beef Brisket.

I used my Citi Visa Costco reward rebate check and received $279.94 in change (cash).

I came home before noon.

Costco City Visa Reward Rebate check, 2018

I received this year’s Citi Visa Costco reward rebate check amount of $340.54. This check doesn’t make me happy. To me, this is a reality check. I spent 60% more money compared to the year before. 60% is a huge jump on credit card spending. I need to be careful with money. Seriously…

Below is rebate checks from last year, (2017)

Sign of Getting Old – Cufflinks

I started to wear dress shirts with cufflinks at work.

We have “T-shirts & Jeans” dress code at work. But, I enjoy wearing a white dress shirt with cufflinks that match my shoes. All my cufflinks are vintage sterling silver with some kind of gemstone. My shirts are expensive. One of my white shirts was $100.00 from England.

*I am still planning to tell you about my shoes. Coming up later.

My father had this watch for about 10 years. The battery ran out, and he moved on to another watch. I got this watch from my father and kept it for about 10 years. I finally put in a new battery last month. It works.
