Costco doesn’t always carry Guinness in my area. I don’t normally see Guinness at my Costco, but I see them occasionally.
18 cans of Guinness sell for $20.99 at Costco. That’s $1.17 a can. Considering a cup of coffee is $2.00, I think it’s a reasonable price. Still, Guinness costs two times more than cheaper domestic beers. Guinness is imported beer from Ireland.
I favor expensive beers because I am not a drinker. I rarely drink any alcoholic beverages. I drink maybe 1 can of beer a month.
Also, I don’t like the taste of beer. All beers taste bitter to me. Expensive beers taste less yucky, so when I drink beer, I go for expensive ones.
I bought the beer mug from Bed Bath & Beyond for $5.00. A cold frosty mug makes the beer drinking experience more enjoyable.

A Guinness draught can in 14
A Guinness draught can in 14.9 ounces. (One royal pint)
I got “hooked” on Guinness
I got “hooked” on Guinness draught when my Costco began carrying it…and now they don’t. I HATE it when Costco does that and this isn’t the first item I become a fan of and then they pull it. We are full time RVers and travel around. PLEASE, if your local Costco carries this brew, please post and let me know where I might find it. I’ve tried reaching out to Costco to find out which stores might carry it, but to no avail.
Guinness Draught is amazing..
Guinness Draught is amazing…not a “miss step”….11.2 ozs, seems like counting ounces to me and not enjoying great beer…its not always quantity over quality, if you like great beer and a surprising lower calorie full body and flavor beer…stick with this great brew, form your own opinion, sample one, then load up at Costco, Thank you and Happy drinking
Castleton branch,
Castleton branch, Indianapolis branch Costco does not stock Guinness anymore. 🙁
Re: Guinness Beer from Costco
Yes, definitely good price. And Guinness Draught is the world famous beer, Extra Stout is popular here in the US. I went on the brew tour in Dublin and highly suggest it to anyone that visits.
Re: Guinness Beer from Costco
Bought Guinness at Costco ~ 2 weeks ago. Good price too
Re: Guinness Beer from Costco
Yes, I saw them also.
I didn’t buy it because it was a lot of beer.
I only drink like 4 cans of beer a year.
🙂
Re: Guinness Beer from Costco
I haven’t seen this in any of my regional (South Florida) Costco’s since early 2011. Has it been discontinued or do I just need to petition the local managers to bring it back…..
Re: Guinness Beer from Costco
I drank 0 beer this year.
I always look for Guinness when I go to Costco.
I didn’t see Guinness at Costco for 2-3 years, I think.
Re: Guinness Beer from Costco
It’s the 14.9 oz cans (BJ’s has the same deal), and the Draught is the one you want from Guinness.
Re: Guinness Beer from Costco
I bought Extra Stout this time. They taste lighter than Draught.
Draught has thick chocolate quality… as if you can eat as breakfast. To me, Drought seems fancier than Extra Stout.
Extra Stout seemed “normal” – nothing special.
Of course, I don’t drink beer. I don’t drink period. I drank about 3 beers this year so far. I am no fun 🙁
Stay thirsty my friend, hehe…
draught is better
draught is better and is the original beer that the company is actually known for. extra stout is only more popular in the U.S.
Re: Guinness Beer from Costco
These are 11.2 oz. cans, not the standard 12 oz. Also this is Guinness “Draught,” a far cry from Extra Stout, the brew Guinness is famous for. “Draught” is an unfortunate misstep by Guinness.
Re: Guinness Beer from Costco
Hey, thanks.
I didn’t know about “Extra Stout” & “Draught”. I thought all Guinness beers were the same.
So.. I’ve been missing out all this time?
Expect to see “Extra Stout” on my next beer picture.
🙂
