ILoveCostco.com

This is a personal blog. I am not affiliated with Costco in any way.
But, we needed a place for Costco shoppers to say hi.
I hope you enjoy the stay. Have a nice day.

I never went away. Trying to get my mojo back.

Hi.  Are there any old time visitors still visiting me?

I am sorry I haven't upated my blog lately.  Nothing happened in my life.  I am just working, working..  But, mostly, I am slowly becoming a boring old man. I am losing my mojo.

I started my blog 9 years ago, I was in my 30's.  I had a lot of free time back then.  Compared to 9 years ago, I do better financially.  I am more comfortable. But... I am becoming an old man.

I will try to have fun with my blog one more time. I will try and see if getting connected with my blog will get my mojo back.

I still enjoy Costco a lot.  Do you realize, we will see Christmas at Costco in about a month? (early August)

I would like to get excited about stupid and boring stuff just like before.  Now I think about home owners insurance, looking for broken roof tile, high blood sugar level... stuff like that.  Getting old sucks.

Let's not get old.  I will keep in touch. God bless everyone..

Body:

Last week I bought 2 bags of flowers to plant: Dicentra (pack of 6) and Alcea ( 6 as well).

Dicentra had total of 4 roots ( not 6 as pack said) and what was a real surprise – Alcea, it had one root of one color ( supposed to be 3) and one –already rotten root of other color. Very disappointed. One instead of 6 I paid for.

Used to buy flowers from Costco for many years, sometime it could happened that one or two pieces out of 6 could be dried out or rotten but having  only 1 out of promised 6…..no, will not give Costco another try

Sebamed Roadshows, Bundles at Costco.com

Sebamed, the experts in sensitive skin care, has updated a few of its cost-saving bundles, and I wanted to pass the savings along!

Besides the bundles at its in-store roadshows (the events calendar can be found here), Sebamed has several discounted bundles available for purchase on the Costco website.

Sebamed has become one of the biggest market movers when it comes to sensitive skin. The brand’s ultra-gentle formula is safe and effective. For more than 60 years, the brand has provided relief for those suffering from delicate skin conditions, including rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, acne, and dermatitis. Sebamed is even coveted by those looking to maintain healthy and glowing skin.

I've always wanted to taste champagne.  But, I was poor all my life, that I never had an oppotunity to taste champagn.  So, today I picked up a bottle of Kirkland Signature champagne. I was very excited about it. On my way out, the checkout guy asked what I was celebrating.  "Nothing.  It's my everyday champagne." I replied with a smile.

I cannot get enough of Chef's Cut Beef Jerkey.  It's really good.

I was excited to see SPAM on sale.  I don't know why a lot of people mock SPAM.  It's perfectly fine if you don't like SPAM.  But, you don't have to mock us.  None of my female friends, past and present, liked SPAM.  But, it was more than that.  When I told them I liked SPAM, they all made a puke face and said "Yuck". They seemed to take away points because I liked SPAM. Maybe that's why they didn't stick around... because I'm a SPAM lover.  SPAM, to me, is a must have item at my house. I crave SPAM every several months, and I must have some.  This 8 pack will last a few years.  Girls may come and go, but I will have these low sodium SPAMs in my cupboard, telling me everything will be fine.

Coupons saved $24.50 today.

Chef's Cut Beef Jerky was really good. I finished the whole bag in two days.  I may buy one more.  This was one of the best jerkies I have ever tasted.

I always buy jarlsberg cheese from Costco whenever there is a coupon.  This is an amazing buy.

Toiliet papers, glad food containers, shampoo, and conditioners were all on sale. It was a fun Costco shopping.

Sign of Getting Old - No more sneakers

I try to stay young.  I would like to believe I didn't change much.  But, if I look at certain things, I see clear signs of getting old. One thing I noticed was my shoes - I am talking about shoes I wear every day at work, weekend, when I go out Costco shopping, when I go out to see my friends...

Below is my current everyday shoes.  They are, Ecco, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Hugo Boss. Black pair is my everyday shoes for work. Most younger coworkers wear sneakers at work. I cannot wear sneakers anymore because it feels funny.  I feel normal in dress shoes.  Why would I wear high performance sneakers when I don't plan to jump up and down at work?  I don't wear running shorts to work...I don't wear mouthpiece at I work.  I don't know.... that's how I look at it.

Hence, sign of getting old.

The green insoles inside black shoes are Superfeet.  They are the best insoles money can buy (around $40 a pair).  So, my feet are very comfortable in dress shoes.

I hope Costco sells designer shoes.

Below is a pictur from 8 years ago, my everyday shoes were all sneakers. (picture below).

8 years ago was good times.  I would give anything to go back to that government subsidized 1 bedroom apartment.  I was very happy and positive back then.  I am still happy and positive... but old. :(   Haha.

St. Patrick's Day - Costco Corned Beef Brisket

Top of the morning to you.

This is my 4th year to celebrate St. Patrick's Day by making corned beef brisket. Costco always stock Bill Bailey's Corned Beef Brisket late February to beginning of March.

It's very simple to make.  I put the meat, cabbage, and water in a slow cooker. I set my slow cooker to low.  Then I go to work and come back.  Dinner is ready when I come back home (10-12 hours).  I still have to make mashed potato.

I like to eat my corned beef brisket with the juice.  I don't know how authentic this is, but I like it.

Happy new year

It was my first Costco shopping of 2017.  I didn't buy anything special.  Coupons saved $29.40.  Protein bars are for work.  Apples and green blends are for juicing.  I freeze naan bread which they will last about six months.  I am not quite sure if Focus Factor works.  But, at the same time, I am afraid to get off it.

Toilet papers at the bottom of the cart.
