*Update - my car was declated total loss.

I was driving to work Friday morning and I got hit from behind very hard. The picture may not look like much, but look at it closely.  Front side of her car parts are embedded in the backside of my car.  I had to pull out part of her license plate from inside my muffler.  Her radiator was destroyed.  It was a hard hit.

There is no broken bone.  There was no blood.  But, 5 days later, I have a headache that seems to be getting worse.  And I feel nauseated.  I think I'll have to see a doctor.

I had to get a rental car, go out car shopping, talk to insurance company (many times), arrange to get my car picked up, etc...  I had to remind myself not to skip meal.  I had to pay close attention to myself so I will not forget my keys, paperwork, wallet...  This was the time I had to take care of myself.

All this is discouraging and depressing because I realize that I am alone in this world.  God bless single people.  I keep telling you that one thing I envy the most is people who have family of their own.

Below (picture) - green circle is the opening of my muffler.  It cut the license plate (of the person who hit me) like a cookie dough.  I couldn't get this off, so I had to use a screw driver to put a hole and drive back home slowly.  Believe me, guys... it was a hard hit.

Several days were blurry, then I realized that Christmas is only a week away.  I got robbed out of my Christmas.  I only have12 days to Christmas.  How poetic.  It reminds me of my 12 days of Christmas in 2011.  Oh, how much I love Christmas. I wish the spirit of Christmas will make things better for me.

I guess I should feel thankful that it's not worse... but my life is not normal.  It's not THAT bad, but pray for me.

God bless everyone.  I will keep you updated.

My cubicle - Christmas 2017

I put up this decoration in my cubicle on Thanksgiving week.  Since then, every single day I hear people going "Oooh~!" "Aahhh~!!".  It's been super fun so far.

The Christmas tree with 800 lights was $10 at a garage sale.  I am the king of garage sale.

I bought the train, stuffed reindeer, and a red scarf from Costco.  Some things you just have to pay full price.

I've been playing Christmas music for last 2 months.  Christmast is only two weeks away.  I already feel emontional that the end is near.  I would like to enjoy more and share with more people.

Merry Christmas.  Happy holidays.

Costco Shopping - December 7, 2017

I went to Costco for Eneloop batteries ($19.99 after $10 instant savings).  It was a quick in and out shopping.  As I was taking a brisk walk to the batteries, I passed by 2 sample stations.  Look what they gave me.  That's a lot of candies. I was so happy.

Christmas is a few weeks away and, Costco is already taking down Christmas items as usual.  I noticed all the big items, such as big snow man, were gone.

Holiday season is coming to an end quickly.  I wish to enjoy more before it's over.  I may be sleepy and tired.  I need to get out and fight traffic, mix with crazy shoppers, and stop for pumpkin spice coffee.  I shall enjoy this magic moment.

Happy Thanksgiving 2017 - More Pictures

Happy Thanksgiving 2017

This is my 8th year baking turkey alone.

I have places to go every year.  I thank them, but I refuse to go.  Nobody, including my family, matches comfort and joy that I have when I bake turkey alone.

I want to bake my own turkey.  It's so much fun.

One of my coworkers enjoys visiting my house on Thanksgiving day for a few hours.  Because I provide comfort and joy... a lot of good stuff to eat.

I just woke up.  I shall take a shower and start the day with coffee. I cleaned my kitchen last night and put some Christmas decoration on the sliding door.  Look at my beautiful kitchen.  I came a long way.  Remember when I was poor?  Now I feel awkward (guilty?) to show pictures, because I remember not having good things like these.

Life's been fun so far.  But, one thing I envy the most is people who have family of their own.  You have the best gift.  It makes me want to cry when I see father and son walking together, etc...  It looks so beautiful and I wish I have that.

Happy Thanksgiving.  I'll talk to you soon.  It's magic time.  Have fun~!!

And, pictures of my turkey

Keep checking for holiday savings

I am enjoying special holiday savings at Costco.  I am keep fining some good stuff this year.  It's been fun so far.

This hooded sweatshirt is very fancy for how much you pay ($15.99 after $4 off).  It's high quality and I am loving it.  They are by Buffalo David Bitton.  I guess they are somewhat of high end (-ish).

It's not baggy.  It hugs your body, that it will be fun to wear if you are a fit person.

I also bought 3 pairs of Buffalo brand jeans with $15 total savings.

Keep checking for holiday savings. Enjoy!

Winter Clothes

I like this fuzzy shirt.  It's cozy and warm.  It was only $11.99 with $3 Holiday Savings.  Price will go up to $14.99 after November 16th.  But, $15 is still a super value.  I am thinkin about getting one more.

Last few weeks, I bought a few more Winter items at Costco.  Winter (trail) boots were $23.99 after instant savings of $6.  Insulated gloves were $16.99.

The boots are too cheap for my standard, and they smell rubber (very little).  But, It was $23.99, and they have leather tops.  It's a pretty good price for what they are.  So, I bought a pair just to keep it.  I may need them once or twice a year, but when I do, they will save my day.  Because I didn't have a single pair of Winter shoes (hiking boots).

They are really, really good price.  It's Costco.

Knee High Socks (over the calf)

I made a wise purchase 7 years ago in 2010.  I bought 36 pairs of Calvin Klein dress socks at Costco for $97.78 (blog).  It was a very good price.  I bought women's socks so they will fit me perfectly.  Seven years later, these socks are still good. I am very satisfied. I think they can last 10 years.  But it was time for me to change.

I hate it when my socks slide down.  My socks would never stay up.  I would pull up my socks 20 times a day when I'm at work.  I get satisfying feeling when I pull my socks up.  It feels good when my socks are up tight and neat.  But, they will slide down in 2 minutes.  I would tolerate it if I was still young and poor.  But, now I felt the need to fix this sliding socks problem once and for all.  I just needed to buy better socks.

I also realized the importance of socks.  Your socks will peek out just a little when situation arise.  But, that small "peek" will complete your look.  Nicely matching socks will give out a subtle hint about your uniqueness.  I needed new socks for that reason as well - so I will not look like a plain potato

My budget was $400.00. I spent first 6 months shopping for several different socks from different web sites and department stores such as Nordstrom and H&M.  I even ordered a few pairs form the UK.  I spent $100.00 on trying out on different socks.

6 months later I found the socks I like.  They are knee high (over the calf) socks from Falke in the UK.  I spent a few more months to decide exact model and size. Then I ordered about 25 pairs.  The socks sell for $20+ a pair.  They don't sell those in the US, so I had to order from the UK and Germany. I spent more money than I imagined.  But, I will not think about socks for several years. Overall, I am extremely satisfied.

Mens Knee High Socks

Knee high socks are the best.  They stay up.  You know that satisfying feeling I talked about when I pull my socks up?  Now I enjoy that satisfying feeling the entire day.  This elevates my life-style.

Men's Over the calf socks

If you say "what's up with tacky colors?" - that means you only wear sneakers or black shoes.

When you own multiple dress shoes in different colors, you will rarely wear black socks. In fact, I haven't worn black socks in several months.

Lastly. I have noticed that some hipsters with fancy socks tend to wear their pants shorter, just like Michael Jackson in Billie Jean video. so they will showcase their socks when they stand up or walk.  I think that's immature and trying too hard.  "Hey, look at my socks everyone!  See how cool and unique I am.  I have personality.  Love me~!"

Men's socks are like women's cleavage.  You don't want to show them all the time. (You heard this from me first)
